"Swamp Flood" was awarded the Signature Members Award in the 2011 National Exhibition of the Watercolor Society of Alabama. The Exhibition was held at the Tennessee Valley Museum of Art in Tuscumbia, Alabama.
A Watercolor, "Neil's Spring", was accepted for the Exhibition "Watercolor Now", to be held at the Slater Memorial Park Gallery in Pawtucket, RI this coming Januarty, 2011. Paintings were chosen from submissions by members of the Watercolor USA Honor Society.
A large oil on canvas triptych, 101/2'wide by 4 1/2' high, one of the largest I've done so far, is part of an exhibition, "Echoes From the Woods", at the Alabama state Council of the Arts Gallery in Montgomery, Alabama from June 4-July 16, 2010.
Watercolor USA Honor Society Exhibition, 2010. Tokyo, Japan In April 2010, 30 watercolors by members of the Watercolor USA Honor Society will be in an exhibition at the National Art Center in Tokyo. Energen Corporation. The Wonders of Alabama Art 2009 This biennial competition celebrates Alabama artists and their work. The winning entries become part of Energen's corporate collection. In the 2009 exhibition "Woods Mirror II", a watercolor by Mary Ann Pope, won the landscape award and became part of Energen's collection. Nature's Realm. Huntsville Museum of Art 2009 Featuring work from the Huntsville Museum of Art's collection, "Swamp", a large oil on canvas diptych, 84"wide by 50"high, by Mary Ann, was one of the works exhibited.
